Aro (Michael Sheen) interviews Alice (Ashley Greene) in Interview magazine
“SHEEN: Do people actually cry in front of you?
GREENE: Yes. Oh, yes. Fans shake and cry. You kind of don’t know what to do. I give them a hug or whatever. People ask if I get annoyed, but you can’t really get annoyed at something like that.
SHEEN: Are you sure they’re not crying after you hug them? Maybe they don’t want to be hugged.
GREENE: I will look at it the way that I want to, even if it’s not true. I’m an actor.
SHEEN: All right.”
Kristen Stewart & Dakota Fanning jump on stage with Joan Jett & The Blackhearts at the Sundance Film Festival
“I loved The Runaways. It really does rock. The movie is the true-life story of the short-lived but legendary all-girl rock band, with Kristen Stewart starring as Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning as Cherie Currie. Stewart does what she does best: play the anguished outsider. But Fanning really nails it as the 15-year drug-abusing sex kitten Cherie. This is a Dakota you have never seen, getting so lost in the role that there are times she is almost unrecognizable. Full of sex (including Fanning and Stewart locking lips), drugs and rock n’ roll, The Runaways is not for the prudish….Or for Stewart and Fanning’s younger Twilight fans.”-read Marc Malkin’s full review at E!Online

Michael Sheen, who plays Aro in New Moon, gave an interview to Empire magazine:
“I’m all done on it; I had a great time,” he told us. “It was nice to go in and not be playing the main part, just go in for a few days and play this really really extraordinary character. I remember I was thinking, ‘Oh, there’s a bit of a Child Catcher here [from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang]; bit of the Blue Meanie from The Yellow Submarine; bit of Olivier from Richard III. There was a bit of all kinds of stuff.”
He also talked about director Chris Weitz.
“It was great to work with Chris Weitz; it was a really funny set, really relaxed. We had a lot of things in common, and hopefully we’re going to work together again soon doing something. That might be the thing that I direct, I don’t know yet, you never know.”
And the rest of the cast? “It was quite intimidating being on the set with so many young, beautiful people. That was quite extraordinary being the old, ugly one amongst loads of young, beautiful ones. It’s not something I’m used to really. Not because I’m young and beautiful but usually there’s loads of old, ugly people around me.”
“It was quite encouraging to see how Robert and Kristen are committed to it, how much they put into it and how serious they are about it. They don’t take it lightly at all so that was great to see.”
“I thought I couldn’t deal with the humiliation of ‘Could he be more good looking?’ Then I kind of read it [as] it’s not like the author is saying Edward is the best looking guy in the world; it’s from Bella’s perspective who is obsessed with him,” Pattinson says. “When you take into account that, he could look like anything. When you are in love with someone, you look past all the flaws.” -full Robert Pattinson interview here
Writing from the set of New Moon, a ridiculously happy place to be. Everyone is having a gas. Especially me. You’d expect at least one person to be snarky after working so hard for so long but I haven’t heard a single sour note. Chris Weitz is the zen ringmaster doing a fantastic job. The Volturi look amaaaazing. Michael Sheen embodies Aro so completely, elevating the role to a whole new level. Dakota as Jane knocks me out. Rob and Kristen are gorgeous of course and and and… I probably shouldn’t gush so much, no one will believe that everything is perfect but it is! -Melissa Rosenberg’s notes from her Facebook page
