“Actress Rachelle Lefevre Will Be Replaced By Bryce Dallas Howard In The Role Of Victoria

Los Angeles, CA July 28, 2009 — Summit Entertainment announced today that Bryce Dallas Howard will take over the role of “Victoria” in the studio’s upcoming production of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. Actress, Rachelle Lefevre, who portrayed the character in TWILIGHT as well as the upcoming release of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON, will not continue in the role due to scheduling conflicts with another commitment the actor has made. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE will start filming in Vancouver this coming August.THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, the third film in the studio’s TWILIGHT film franchise based on Stephenie Meyer’s blockbuster book series, will be directed by David Slade from a screenplay written by Melissa Rosenberg. The film will be released theatrically in North America on Wednesday, June 30, 2010.”

Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight novels continued to dominate USA TODAY’s Best-Selling Books list in the second quarter  selling in the same order as they did in the first three months of the year.

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, a beefed-up Taylor Lautner and the rest of the Twilight gang will be reassembling in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Aug. 17, when they will begin production on Eclipse, the third installment of the Stephenie Meyer franchise.

Production on the film will run until the vampire- and werewolf-friendly date of Oct. 31, just a few weeks before the recently wrapped second installment of the saga, New Moon, is released on Nov. 20.

As for Eclipse, which will be directed by David Slade and written by Dexter scribe Melissa Rosenberg, the blockbuster-in-waiting is scheduled for release on June 30, 2010.

Casting has begun for the third Twilight movie, Eclipse.  Eonline got their hands on a casting notice for Riley, Seth Clearwater and Leah Clearwater.

“Riley “is a handsome, blond, clean-cut college boy who falls victim to Victoria,” the notice reads. He’s in his early to mid 20s, Seth Clearwater is a “tall, gangly-limbed boy with a huge, happy grin, Seth idolizes Jacob.” and Seth’s big sister is 19-year-old Leah Clearwater and the only female member of the La Push wolf pack: “She is tall and slender with beautiful skin and short cropped black hair. She would be considered gorgeous if not for the perpetual scowl she carries due to a broken heart and her anger issues.”

And what about the fourth Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn?

As much as everyone in the cast wants it to happen, it still sounds like nothing’s official…yet.

“I’m signed for three,” Peter Facinelli told (eonline) at the MTV Movie Awards. “I’m hoping that they make four. I mean, if New Moon does well, I think they’ll make four.”

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have said they want to make Breaking Dawn, too.

When asked about four, Ashley Greene said, “I can’t even think that far in advance.”

Or maybe she can.

“They’re just going to have to make a Twilight Five,” (Ashley Greene) cracked. “I will be forever known as a Twilight girl.”

Greene and Kellan Lutz said they’ll start shooting Eclipse in August.

“According to the fine folks over at TwilightersItalia, Robert Pattinson arrived in Rome at the Fiumicino Airport on his way to Montepulciano at 12:30pm local time, which works out to 6:30am EST. He’s already made his way to Tuscany.

In other news from Montepulciano, the new fountain was given a trial run with water to prep for shooting the film. TwilightersItalia says–

Also today, they’re shooting in the centre of the city, our friends told us that the Porsche was actually there this morning. With a bit of luck we’ll have some pictures to share of that too later.”

The faux St. Marcus Day Festival in New Moon, which will involve up to 1500 extras, has begun to ramp up. Extras in red garb have started appearing on the streets, as recent pics from TwilightersItalia show. They say–

“Each one of them was clad in red. Hoods, robes, t-shirt, caps…everything was red! They couldn’t really say anyhing because the producers have told them that if they were caught they would be expelled from the set and nobody wants to lose the chance to be in the movie.

It’s said that this afternoon there was a little commotion and they think Robert Pattinson was there, but nobody would say that plainly. There are no pictures of him at the airport because he went out through a side exit allowed to the airport staff only.

Today the porsche crew finished working and, from what we understood, tomorrow Robert Pattinson himself will shoot some scene, maybe something related to Edward’s desperation before the Volturi’s verdict.

It won’t be Kristen Stewart to jump in the fountain but her stunt double, an Italian girl. Right now, Alan Cappelli, the stunt double for Robert Pattinson is waiting in his car to be called to set. We don’t know though what scene they’ll shoot.”
