Emily Young is the fiancée of Sam, the leader of the werewolf pack on the Reservation near Forks, Washington. She is the cousin of Leah Clearwater and Sam imprinted on Emily following his unwilling path into the supernatural world where there are real life vampires and he is a werewolf. Emily lives in a small house fitting to the quiet environment surrounding the actual Quileute settlement with flower boxes and large windows letting in a lot of light which is reflective of Emily’s psyche. But she has not come into Sam’s life without injury, one time he lost control of his temper and transformed into a wolf then ran his claws down her arm and across her face putting her mouth into a constant frown, Sam has never forgiven himself for it. She still bears the scars. Her hair is dark and long and her skin along with her features are very typical of the Native American genus. She’s said to be the “wolf-girl” and becomes a mutual friend to Bella during the second book “New Moon”.
