Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, a beefed-up Taylor Lautner and the rest of the Twilight gang will be reassembling in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Aug. 17, when they will begin production on Eclipse, the third installment of the Stephenie Meyer franchise.

Production on the film will run until the vampire- and werewolf-friendly date of Oct. 31, just a few weeks before the recently wrapped second installment of the saga, New Moon, is released on Nov. 20.

As for Eclipse, which will be directed by David Slade and written by Dexter scribe Melissa Rosenberg, the blockbuster-in-waiting is scheduled for release on June 30, 2010.

Ashley Greene tells us there’s no chance Pattz will be coming aboard for the upcoming Twilight cruise.  “I think he’s entirely too busy,” says, Greene, who plays Alice Cullen in the vampire movie franchise. “He’s working on, like, eight movies.”

As you may have already heard, Greene and Kellan Lutz, who plays Emmett Cullen, will be the main attraction on the weeklong journey from Seattle to Alaska.  The trip includes autograph and photo sessions with Greene and Lutz, along with a Q&A panel discussion, among other activities. Greene admits she’s “a little nervous” about how things could go down with overzealous fans.

“I don’t know how it will turn out, because we’ll be on a boat, so that could be interesting,” she (Ashley Greene) says. “Luckily, my dad will be there, so he can be my bodyguard.”

Casting has begun for the third Twilight movie, Eclipse.  Eonline got their hands on a casting notice for Riley, Seth Clearwater and Leah Clearwater.

“Riley “is a handsome, blond, clean-cut college boy who falls victim to Victoria,” the notice reads. He’s in his early to mid 20s, Seth Clearwater is a “tall, gangly-limbed boy with a huge, happy grin, Seth idolizes Jacob.” and Seth’s big sister is 19-year-old Leah Clearwater and the only female member of the La Push wolf pack: “She is tall and slender with beautiful skin and short cropped black hair. She would be considered gorgeous if not for the perpetual scowl she carries due to a broken heart and her anger issues.”

And what about the fourth Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn?

As much as everyone in the cast wants it to happen, it still sounds like nothing’s official…yet.

“I’m signed for three,” Peter Facinelli told (eonline) at the MTV Movie Awards. “I’m hoping that they make four. I mean, if New Moon does well, I think they’ll make four.”

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have said they want to make Breaking Dawn, too.

When asked about four, Ashley Greene said, “I can’t even think that far in advance.”

Or maybe she can.

“They’re just going to have to make a Twilight Five,” (Ashley Greene) cracked. “I will be forever known as a Twilight girl.”

Greene and Kellan Lutz said they’ll start shooting Eclipse in August.
